AMANDA FAYE UITHOVEN

Amanda embraced the world on March 20, 1979, the first day of spring – symbolizing new life and new beginnings.

Amanda was welcomed in great anticipation into the loving open arms of Gregory and Marilyn (Klay) Uithoven. She was a beautiful perfect baby girl with a head of black hair. As she grew her loving and caring heart also grew. She was known to be kind, sweet and at times overly concerned with life.

Amanda was a big sister and second mother to her brother, Adam, sister, Annie Jo, and baby brother, Aric. Adam and Amanda were best buddies; they played together and laughed together. She often “bossed” the two younger siblings around which didn't always go over well, but was appreciated by her parents. She was always concerned for their well-being all of her days.

Amanda was educated through Jack and Jill Pre-School, Luverne Public School Systems Kindergarten through 12th grade, graduating in 1997. Amanda was involved in a variety of activities, fun, challenges, and friendships. She continued her education at a few different schools.

She also learned to love unconditionally, with no judgments and shared that life compassionately with so many that came into her world. At times when she maybe did not have enough for even herself, she would drop everything to care for someone in need. She volunteered, helping people recover from tornadoes and loved to get down and dirty at the farm. She loved to give gifts and she cared so deeply; those are the lessons she shared with so many. Amanda also loved spending time with her grandparents, especially riding horse with Grandpa Klay and being at the lake with Grandpa and Grandma Uithoven. Amanda had a passion for shoes, shopping and makeup.

Amanda's greatest legacy is the gift of her three beautiful children, Mira Faye, Adayla Faye, and Arekel Michael. She loved watching their many activities. They were her world and she loved them more than anything. The greatest gift she ever gave them was her unconditional love.

Amanda was deeply loved by her fiance, DaJuan Taylor. DaJuan was a tremendous support for Amanda through the past few years. He saved her life and was her light in some of her most difficult trials. He loved her unceasingly and unconditionally beyond any measure.
Amanda struggled with mental health issues. It darkened many of her days, but she continued to fight for strength to get through each day. Her final gift was the selfless act of donation to continue research for advancing any type of treatment for this dreaded disease. Amanda passed away in Fargo, North Dakota under the supervision of Prairie St. John's Hospital due to natural causes.

Amanda learned of Jesus' love for her at a tender young age. She accepted Jesus as her Savior in her teenage years. She continued to lean on that love and her faith in God.

She is lovingly remembered by her three children, Mira, Adayla, and Arekel; fiancé, DaJuan Taylor of Luverne; her parents, Gregory and Marilyn Uithoven of Magnolia; three siblings, Adam and Linda Uithoven, Annie and Nicholas Bork, and Aric and Cassie Uithoven all of Luverne; 12 treasured nieces and nephews; grandparents, Mike and Viola Uithoven; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John & Harriet Klay; aunt Linda Klay; and two cousins, Shane Klay and Shawn Uithoven.

As a family, we were blessed to have her as a part of our lives and she will be in our hearts forever. We celebrate the promise of a new beginning and new life for our Amanda, safe in the arms of Jesus.
