Amber Briggs

Amber Jo Briggs was born on October 10, 1989 to Richard and Shannon (Hurlburt) Briggs in Worthington, Minnesota. Growing up, she spent a lot of time taking care of her brother, Tyler. She enjoyed playing baseball and kickball with the neighborhood kids. Amber graduated from Worthington High School in 2008. She later moved to Luverne, Minnesota, and was currently enrolled at Southern New Hampshire University to pursue a degree in psychology.

Amber was an avid Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Wild and NFL fan. She liked dirt track racing and living life. She served as a coach for the Special Olympics and was very proud of coaching her brother, Tyler. Amber loved her family and spending time with them. She also loved her dog, Asher.

On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, Amber died unexpectedly at her home at the age of 34 years, six months and 14 days.

Amber is survived by her three children, Morgan, Jace and Peyton; brother, Tyler Briggs of Luverne; grandmother, Wanda Briggs of Luverne; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Shannon Briggs.

Memorials may be directed to the Luverne Special Olympics in honor of Amber and Tyler.
