AMY LORRINDA REDENIUS was born on May 29, 1987, to Donnis and Becky (Farmer) Redenius in Gillette, Wyoming. She was born premature and was a fighter. She spent the first six years of her life in Gillette where she attended kindergarten and then moving with her family to Pipestone in May, 1993. She continued her education in the Pipestone School System, graduating from Pipestone Area High School with the Class of 2005. While in high school, Amy was involved in choir and also traveled to Spain with her Spanish class.
After graduation, she worked at the Suzlon Wind Energy in the Monitoring Department until 2009 when she started her schooling for Graphic Design at Southeast Tech in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She began her vocation at Bell Incorporated for her internship and continued after her graduation in 2011.
Amy was a passionate person and would always speak up for what she believed in; Amy was quiet but outspoken. Amy enjoyed movies - especially horror films and music - always finding something new and interesting and reading. She had recently learned to crochet from her little sister, Candace. Amy thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family. Almost every Sunday evening was spent at her parents' home sharing dinner together.
Amy had a special connection with her mother and sister. She and her mom would spend time together - baking, cooking, shopping, going out to eat, watching movies, and just having some quality mother-daughter time. Most recently, on October 12th, Amy and her mom enjoyed a night away in Minneapolis taking in the play, Wicked. She also made several trips to Mankato to see Jessica Welu, a close childhood friend. Friends and family were very important to Amy, especially her nephew Jensen, acting as if he were her own.
Amy died on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, in Pipestone, Minnesota, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She had lived to reach the age of 26 years, five months, and six days.
Amy is lovingly remembered by her parents, Donnis and Becky Redenius of Pipestone, Minnesota; four sisters, Candace Redenius of Verdi, Minnesota, Jessica Redenius of Saint Louis Park, Minnesota, Pam Dwire of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Renae Redenius of Roseville, Minnesota; one brother, Greg Redenius of Brookings, South Dakota; her grandparents: Ed Farmer of Gillette, Wyoming, Norma Uptain of Gypsum, Colorado, Charyl Wittfoth of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Ralph (Sharon) Redenius of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; her nieces and nephews: Jensen Porter and Austin, Kayla and Brenley Redenius; her aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her two cats, Tabourine and Oreo.
