Anita Carel Prichard

ANITA CAREL PRICHARD...

was born on January 19, 1965 on the Lower Brule Reservation in South Dakota. At the age of three, she was adopted by Ralph and Ramona Moore and moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Anita was baptized at Christ Lutheran in Sioux Falls. She received her education in Sioux Falls. Upon completion of her education, she held various jobs. She also made her home in numerous places including, Oklahoma and South Dakota, until 1997 when she moved to Minnesota. She lived in a few towns until 2007 when she settled in Pipestone, Minnesota. In April of 2015, she was united in marriage to Jason Lichtsinn in Pipestone. Due to Anita’s declining health, she was admitted to Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls on August 27, 2015. She remained there until her death on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the age of 50 years, seven months and 24 days.

Anita was active at Faith Community Church in Pipestone where she participated in Bible studies when her health allowed. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed nature, fishing, sunbathing, family barbeques and going for walks. She also enjoyed drawing and was quite good at it.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Jason of Pipestone; five children, Lindsay Childress of New Albany, Indiana, Christopher Childress of Springfield, Indiana, Shayna (Mike) Demuth of Lake Benton, Minnesota, Stephanie (Jordan) Hively of Balaton, Minnesota and Chance Adams; one stepson, Austin Edmundson of Wilmont, Minnesota; 10 grandchildren, Jaymya, Tyler, Kylee, Addison, Autumn, Brooklyn, Madelyn, Westen, Jaiyda and Christopher; and one brother, Bernie (Karen) Moore of Crooks, South Dakota. She is preceded in death by her parents.
