Bea worked part-time at The Lake Benton Opera House, The Burger Inn, Lake Benton Legion, and Ron’s Locker. Glen died in 1997. She was diagnosed with cancer in February 2012, and on Friday, April 13, 2012 Bea passed away surrounded by her family at the Pipestone County Hospice House in Pipestone, Minnesota at the age of 80 years.
