BONNIE ANN UILK BOSMA…
was born to Elroy and Elaine (Burch) Uilk on January 27, 1979 in Flandreau, South Dakota. She was raised on the family farm in Sweet Township of Pipestone County, Minnesota where she attended Hill Elementary and Pipestone-Jasper High School. During her high school years, she was employed at Snyder Drug Store in Pipestone. After her graduation from high school in 1997, she attended college at South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota. Once she completed her first year in college, she pursued missionary work, traveling to Mexico, Argentina, Fiji, and Sri Lanka. In September, 1999, she was united in marriage to Landon Bosma at Christ the King Free Lutheran Church in Pipestone. Following their marriage, they lived in rural Woodstock, Minnesota. She later lived in several areas before moving to Florida in 2010.
Bonnie was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pipestone. She was currently active at the Lakeland Ignited Church in Lakeland, Florida. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at the age of 35 years, 10 months and 14 days.
Bonnie was known by her many friends and family as a charismatic person. Her smile brought a lot of life into the room. Bonnie was known for her gourmet foods and exotic recipes. Her friends at the Epcot Center in Florida always looked forward to the special meals she prepared for them. Through her own personal trials and tribulations, she brought many people to know the love of Christ. Bonnie was known for her passionate worship and her deep personal love of God.
She is lovingly remembered by her parents, Elroy and Elaine Uilk of Woodstock, Minnesota; her seven siblings, Robecca (Carl) Walters of Pipestone, Minnesota, Sheila (Darron) Westfield of Trosky, Minnesota, Mark (Laura) Uilk of Pipestone, Minnesota, Laurie (Shawn) Bruns of Pipestone, Minnesota, John (Rachel) Uilk of West Lafayette, Indiana, Nancy (Nathen) McConnell of Ruthton, Minnesota, and Michael Uilk of Jackson, Minnesota; her maternal grandmother, Helen Hinrichs of Pipestone, Minnesota; the many nieces and nephews she loved dearly; her special friend, Chris Bruder of Clermont, Florida, and her best friend, Lora Coulter of Orlando, Florida. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Alfred Hinrichs; and her paternal grandparents, Raymond and Louise Uilk.
