BRYON THAYNE HULSTEIN was born to Raymond Jr “Ray” and Telena “Teen” (Doppenberg) Hulstein on May 20, 1965 in Upland, California. He is the youngest of four siblings, Randy, Calvin “Cal” and Wanda. At age five, Bryon’s family moved to a farm outside of Hatfield, Minnesota. He grew up on the farm helping with the cattle and crops. Bryon attended Southwest Christian High School in Edgerton, Minnesota. While he was in school, Bryon was active in soccer, track and basketball. After graduation he continued his education and basketball career at Minnesota West in Worthington, Minnesota. After college, he moved to Pipestone, Minnesota and began working at Bayliner, along with a part time job milking cows at County Line Dairy in Edgerton. While working at Bayliner for 15 years, he met Linda (Erickson) Jandl. They were united in marriage on April 28, 2001. The couple was blessed with four children, Kristel (Jandl) Graphenteen, Eric Jandl, Cody Hulstein and Miranda Hulstein. Bryon then started working for New Horizon Farms, where he continued to work for 21 years. Bryon loved working in the hog confinement and even worked his way up to managing one. Due to his health, the last two years of his employment, Bryon switched to New Horizon Grain.
Religion, family, friends, working, coaching, sports and lawn care were very important to Bryon. He is blessed to have so many memories and people in his life. Bryon died at the age of 57.
He is preceded in death by his brother Randy, sister Wanda and mother Teen. He is survived by Ray, Cal (Laurie Merrill), Linda Hulstein, Kristel (Anthony) Graphenteen, Eric (Jessica Brands) Jandl, Cody (Shelby) Hulstein, Miranda (Caleb Tinklenberg) Hulstein and grandson Banks Graphenteen.
