CARLOS GIOVANNI RAMIREZ was born on June 8, 2005 to Juan Carlos Ramirez and Brenda Aguayo in Glendale, California. He received his baptism while living in Glendale. He and his family moved to Pipestone, Minnesota in 2010. In the fall of 2011, Carlos became a student at Brown Elementary School in Mrs. Slinger’s class.
Carlos was a very active little boy who loved to do everything. He enjoyed coloring, playing, and talking with everybody. He loved to eat. His favorite foods were spaghetti, Chinese food, and avacados. He also enjoyed listening to loud music, taking the bus to school and riding his bicycle all day long.
On December 12, 2011, Carlos was diagnosed having a brain tumor. He received treatments at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and had surgery on December 13, 2011. On Tuesday, January 17, 2012, Carlos entered the Sanford Children’s Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. On Sunday, January 22, 2012, he went home to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of six years, seven months, and 15 days.
Carlos is lovingly remembered by his mother, Brenda Aguayo (and Mauricio Martinez) of Pipestone; sister, Ashley; grandparents, Elidia and Leovardo Aguayo of Guadalajara, Mexico; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and other family and friends.
