Carol Burkard Dock

Carol Jean Burkard Dock, age 89, of Jasper, Minnesota, was born in Dell Rapids, South Dakota on July 24, 1935 to Leonard and Josie (Johnson) Neuman. Carol grew up in Dell Rapids, South Dakota. On March 26,1956 she was united in marriage to James P Burkard. Together they moved to the Colton and Chester South Dakota area. Where their marriage blessed them with four wonderful children; Dale, Gail, Jeanette and Jeff. Carol raised her family with James until James died March 26, 1984. Carol then moved into Colton, South Dakota until 1993 when she met and married Ed Dock on February 14, 1993 at the Colton Lutheran Church in Colton, South Dakota before moving together to Jasper, Minnesota. Carol attended the Jasper Evangelical Lutheran Church where she enjoyed being a part of circles for Bible Study and Ladies Aid through the church. In 2016, Carol moved to Pipestone, Minnesota. 

Wednesday, January 15, 2025, Carol died peacefully at Good Samaritan Communities of Pipestone in Pipestone, Minnesota.

Carol is survived by her three children; Dale (Pam) Burkard of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Gail (Allen) Lee of Brookings, South Dakota, Jeff Burkard of Colton, South Dakota; seven grandchildren, John Burkard, Erin Hendricks, Justin Lee, Courtney Lee, Jody Johnson, Amy Johnson; eight great-grandchildren; and Ed Dock.

Carol is preceded in death by her husband, James P. Burkard; daughter, Jeanette Morris; her parents; brother, Sonny Neuman; sister, Ardy Bremer and grandson, Michael Johnson.
