Cheryl Ann Gordon

July 15, 1953 — July 14, 2014

CHERYL ANN GORDON was born on July 15, 1953 to Irvin and June (Johnson) Gordon in Beverly, Massachusetts. She attended grade school in Beverly until the family moved to the Twin Cities in 1961 where she finished school at St. Louis Park High School. After high school she attended barber school and opened a barber shop. Later Cheryl led the wood carving team at the Wooden Bird Factory in St. Bonifacius, MN. While working at the Wooden Bird, Cheryl also enjoyed riding and showing horses at her farm in St. Boni. In 1983 Cheryl met Ferdinando, the father of her children and on February 24, 1985 their first child, Michele “Mickey” Ladich was born, and on August 16, 1989 their daughter Martina Ladich was born. Later, Cheryl and her children moved to Pine City, MN, where she began grooming and training dogs. While in Pine City, Cheryl met Randy Bevens. The two enjoyed dancing and horseback riding and being a part of the Freeman Motorcycle Club of St. Cloud. When her health began to deteriorate, Cheryl moved down to Pipestone, MN where her nephew, Jason and his wife, Erin helped take care of her. On July 14, 2014 Cheryl passed away at the Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 60 years, 11 months, and 29 days old.

Cheryl’s first love was her pets. Her service dog, Missy, was always at her side. While in Pipestone, she enjoyed spending time with her great niece, Ryne, and great nephew, Jack. She always looked forward to Friday night pizza at Paul Buysse’s farm in Jasper, MN.

Cheryl is lovingly remembered by her two children, Mickey and Martina Ladich, of the Twin Cities; her mother, June Gordon, of St. Cloud, MN; two brothers, David (Carol Lambrecht) Gordon of Belle Plaine, MN and Scott (Jeanne) Gordon of St. Cloud; and two nephews, David Gordon of Elk River, MN, and Jason (Erin) Gordon of Pipestone.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her loving father, Irvin Gordon.
