Cheryl R. (Albers) Pavel

CHERYL RANEE (ALBERS) PAVEL was born to Marvin and June (Olson) Albers on May 23, 1958 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was raised and attended school in Sioux Falls, Hartford and graduated from Baltic High School in Baltic, South Dakota in 1976. Cheryl worked at Citi Bank and eventually as a massage therapist. Cheryl married Rich Pavel on October 8, 1988. They lived in Valley Springs, South Dakota, and later in Hills, Minnesota. In 2006, Cheryl had to retire due to problems with her health. Cheryl then took on responsibility of raising her three year old granddaughter, Cheyenne.

In her spare time, Cheryl did all kinds of crafts. She loved to read and watch scary movies. Cheryl was always willing to help care for others even when she was ill. She was a very loving and caring person. She greatly appreciated the care she received from her father through her illnesses.

On Wednesday, February 18, 2015 Cheryl died peacefully at the Sanford Luverne Hospice Cottage in Luverne, Minnesota at the age of 56 years.

Cheryl survived by her son, Jeremy; three grandchildren, Cheyenne, J.J. and Tabitha; her father, Marvin Albers of Hills, Minnesota; three brothers, Larry Albers of Fort Pierre, South Dakota, Terry (Sherry) Albers of Villard, Minnesota, and Lonnie (Anne) Albers of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; special aunt, Della Lorang of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Pavel; mother, June Albers; and family pet, Nanook.
