David Loose

DAVID LEONARD LOOSE was born on June 20, 1935 in Pipestone, MN to Delbert and Lucille (Quinn) Loose. He graduated from Pipestone High School and attended St. Thomas College in St. Paul, MN. He married Rosemarie Dietrich on January 20, 1954 at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Luverne, MN and they lived in Pipestone. Dave worked for Northern States Power until joining the A. R. Wood Northco Agricultural sales team in 1965 at Luverne, MN. In 1987, David became Regional Manager for the RayDot Ventilation Company at Cokato, MN covering the Midwest states. He continued in that position until retiring in 2002. David died on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the age of 81, five months and ten days.

David was an active member of the American Quarter Horse Association with a breeding program of stallions, mares and show horses. The entire family followed his leadership in training and showing horses. He was a charter member of the Prairie Riders Saddle Club and a project leader in 4-H. David was a lifetime member of St. Leo Catholic Church and served on parish finance councils as well as a lector at Mass. He belonged to the Fraternal Knights of Columbus.

Dave was a people person, enjoying many lifelong friendships in business along with sports and horse people. He was a listener and loved every aspect of family life.

David is survived by his wife, Rosemarie; his children and their spouses, Brian and Marine Loose, Dallas, TX; Erin and Charles Hansen, Byron, MN; Joel and Christine Loose, New Prague, MN; Neil Loose, Dallas, TX ; Angela and Steve Stephenson, Wheaton, IL; Grandchildren Toka Loose; Andrea (Honza) Mestak; Kathryn (Ryan) Badger; Courtney (Kyle) Millar; David, AnnaMarie and Braedon Loose; Amber Sierra, and Julia and Graham Stephenson; and one great-grandson, Elias Sierra. Dave was preceded in death by his daughter, Paula Jeanne; his parents, Delbert and Lucille Loose; and brother, Dennis.

Memorials are preferred to the Pipestone County Hospice House.
