Debra Gohr

Debra Kay (DeVries) Gohr was born to Mynard and Charlotte DeVries April 28, 1960. Debra was born and raised in Pipestone, Minnesota. The little family of three soon grew to a family of five. The DeVries’s owned a few family-owned businesses in which the children helped with the business. After Debra graduated from Pipestone High School in 1980, she continued to help with the family business. A few years later Debra took a class to become a Nurse’s Aid. She then began working at Ashton Care Center where she worked for 18 years.

Debra met Peter Gohr in October, 2001. There were married June 29, 2002 and enjoyed life together for 22 years. They lived their lives in Pipestone, Minnesota. Deb loved to read. She was active in a bible study group. Deb always kept in contact with her family. She especially liked going out to eat with her husband; also, when her sister would pick her up to go to supper together. Deb and Peter always had a cat. Deb loved her cat and would like telling funny stories about her cat. On December 17, 2024, Debra died unexpectedly at her home. She was loved by many and will be missed sorely.

Debra is survived by her Husband, Peter Gohr of Pipestone, Minnesota; parents, Charlotte and Mynard DeVries of Pipestone, Minnesota; brother, Kevin (Deb) DeVries of Cedar Falls, Iowa; sister, Carmen (Gary) Hailey; sister-in-law, Jodi Gohr; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Debra was preceded in death by her parents-in-law, John and Virginia Gohr; and brother-in-law, Bruce Gohr.
