Debra Thovson

DEBRA MAXINE THOVSON was born on November 13, 1960 to Don and Beverly Daly in La Mesa, California. She was raised in La Mesa until the age 12, when she then moved to Marshall, Minnesota. Here she met Norman Thovson and on April 22, 1977 the couple was married in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Following their marriage the couple lived in Marshall, then Porter, Minnesota from 1980 to 1983, Marshall from 1983 to 1985, Pipestone from 1985 to 1993 and Jasper, Minnesota. In 1989, Deb and Norm purchased the Jasper Body Shop. They operated the business together until Norm’s death in 2000. In 2001, Deb moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 2011 she moved to Walnut Grove, Minnesota where she resided for a short time until moving to Tyler, Minnesota in 2012. On Friday, May 13, 2016 Deb passed away at her home at the age of 55 years and six months.

Deb enjoyed music and doing crafts. She loved helping and caring for all people. Most of all, she loved her children and grandchildren.

Deb is survived by her two sons, Neil Thovson of Duluth, Minnesota, and Daniel (Brittany) Thovson of Sioux Falls; three grandchildren, Alicia, Matthew and Allie Thovson; and three siblings, Scott (Terry) Daly of Willmar, Minnesota, Bill Daly of Staples, Minnesota, and Don Daly of Laughlin, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman; son, Matthew Thovson; and sister, Jean DeZeeuw.
