Diane Clark

DIANE KAY CLARK was born on July 25, 1963 to Harvey and Marles (Gilliland) Bartels in Pipestone, Minnesota where she was raised on the farm. She attended school in Pipestone, graduating in 1982 from Pipestone High School. She then attended Pipestone Vo-Tech for one year with a degree in Bakery/Deli. She spent many years babysitting for her nieces and she was the primary caregiver to her mother. On June 12, 2004, she married Dana Clark at Peace United Methodist Church in Pipestone. Following their marriage, they resided in Pipestone. On May 25, 2021, she moved to the Pipestone County Hospice House where she died on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at the age of 57 years, ten months and 12 days.

Diane was a member of Peace United Methodist Church in Pipestone. While growing up, she loved to play with her four brothers and one sister and had many pets from dogs, cats and bunnies. She enjoyed attending all community events, like parades, the county fair and arts and craft fairs. She liked attending concerts, watching movies, reading and collecting Snoopy and Charlie Brown items. Diane loved butterflies and anything related to them. She also loved children and her fur baby, Lakota, her cat. She was happiest when she was spending time with her husband, Dana, and her friends going to a concert or dancing. She had a big smile, showing off her dimples and took pleasure in the simple things in life.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Dana Clark of Pipestone, Minnesota; her daughter, Ashley Bartels of Minneapolis, Minnesota; her granddaughter, Joy Marie; four siblings, Dale Bartels of Chester, South Dakota, Allen (Shelly) Bartels of Grand Island, Nebraska, Randy (JoAnn) Bartels of Garretson, South Dakota and Debra Biever of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; one sister-in-law, Sarah Bartels; and many nieces, nephews and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, David Bartels; and her mother-in-law, Sheila Clark.
