Doris Greeley Donald…
was born on December 16, 1937 to Silas and Lucy (Alexis) Greeley in Peever, South Dakota where she was raised and attended the Flandreau Indian Boarding School in Flandreau, South Dakota. Doris had many hobbies and interests including gardening, canning, sewing, drawing and painting. In her earlier years, she enjoyed trapping and hunting. She was especially proud of holding on to the ability to speak the Dakota language fluently. Doris and Richard spent all of their spare time camping and fishing all around Minnesota and Canada. She loved to be surrounded by all her family and enjoyed cooking and baking bread for them. She will live on in all of our memories especially her stories of the Old Place. “That tie us all together”.
She is survived by her significant other and best friend, Richard Foster; her children, Kim Tellinghuisen of Pipestone, Keith Tellinghuisen of Duluth, Minnesota, Konrad (Rita) Tellinghuisen of Redwood Falls, Minnesota, and Rochelle (Paul) Monson of Lindstrom, Minnesota; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, James Greeley, Edna Bender, Thomas Bender and Fina (Richard) Redwing.
