was born to Leslie and Ruth (Cunningham) Everett on June 18, 1964 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. At the age of two, she moved with her parents to Pipestone, Minnesota where she was raised and attended school. After her graduation from Pipestone High School in 1982, she attended Southwest State in Marshall, Minnesota for one year. She then moved to St. Cloud, Minnesota where she attended St. Cloud Beauty School. Upon completion of her education, she moved back to Pipestone. In 1986, she moved to Lubbock, Texas. On July 24, 1987, she was united in marriage to Sammy Belew at the Justice of the Peace in Lubbock. Following their marriage, they resided in Lubbock and she managed a daycare in her home. In 1998, they moved to Faribault, Minnesota where she held various positions at Mclane, drove a medical transport bus and worked for an attorney. They then moved to Smyer, Texas in 2004. During this time, she was employed at Southplains College in Levelland, Texas. Beth was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and went in and out of remission until it metastasized to her bones in 2008 and eventually went into her lymph nodes and liver. They moved to Pipestone, Minnesota in 2008 to be near her parents. Sammy preceded her in death on June 9, 2010. Following his death, Beth continued to live in Pipestone. Her strong faith, stubbornness and will to live helped her battle for 7 years until Tuesday, October 9, 2012, when she “Let Go and Let God” and died at her home in Pipestone at the age of 48 years, three months and 21 days.
Beth was baptized in August, 1964, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jasper, Minnesota and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pipestone in 1978. She sang in the church choir and was a bell ringer while living in Faribault, Minnesota and Lubbock, Texas. She enjoyed gardening, decorating and redecorating. Beth was proud of her children and grandchildren and loved them very much. She will always be remembered for her courage, hope and strength which guided her through this journey.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Gerika and her husband John Morgan of San Diego Naval Base, California and Jayden and his wife Kayla Belew of Sterling City, Texas; three grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; her parents, Leslie and Ruth Everett of Pipestone, Minnesota; two sisters, Deb and her husband John Schroeder of Prior Lake, Minnesota and Amy and her husband Mark Mernik of Minnetrista, Minnesota; and one brother, Chris and his wife Maurine Everett of Farmington, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sammy and one brother, Allen Everett.
Beth's family would like to thank everyone for their love, care and support.
