I, Frances (Bos) Wittfoth, was born to Richard and Minnie (Vogelaar) Bos on a farm near Sioux Center, Iowa on November 10, 1925. I was baptized on June 3, 1926, at the First Reformed Church at Sioux Center, Iowa. I moved with my parents to a farm near Inwood, Iowa in 1929. I received my education at the Inwood schools. I became a member at the First Reformed Church of Inwood on May 13, 1946. I married Erwin Wittfoth on September 15, 1950, at my parents’ house, then moved with Erv to his farm near Holland, Minnesota. I then became a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Holland, and worked faithfully doing many activities in service to the church. In February of 2016, I sold my home and moved to Ridgeview Estates in Pipestone, Minnesota. On February 28, 2020, I passed away at the age of 94 years, three months, and 19 days after a brief stay at the Pipestone County Hospice House.
Since I was fortunate to have had a long life here on Earth, I have enjoyed dog sitting, going fishing, playing bridge, gardening, and entertaining friends at my home.
As my life here on Earth is done, I will again join my beloved husband, Erv; foster daughter, Shirley Mendoza; my parents; brothers, Dick and Lawrence; and sisters, Winona and Irene in Eternity.
Surviving are foster daughter, Lois Ours of Racine, Wisconsin; my sister, Gladys Taubert of Holland, Minnesota; several nieces and nephews; and the many dear friends I’ve made over the years.
