GWENDOLYN 'TEDDY ANN' KNEIP...
was born on July 6, 1934 to Theodore Ferdinand and Inez Iona (Heckt) Larson in Jasper, Minnesota where she was raised and received her education. After her graduation from Jasper High School, she attended Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. On August 29, 1954, she was united in marriage to Donald Kneip at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jasper. Following their marriage, they lived in Sioux Falls and Gwen was employed by National Advertising Company. In 1955, they moved back to Jasper and Gwen stayed at home to raise their children. Then, in 1960, they returned to Sioux Falls. While living in Sioux Falls, Gwen worked for Vern’s Diamond for a short time. In 1972, they moved back to Jasper. Gwen died Monday, January 22, 2018 in the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 83 years, 6 months, and 16 days.
Gwen was baptized on August 19, 1934 in Jasper and was confirmed in the Lutheran faith on May 16, 1948. She was currently a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jasper where she was active in the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Helping Hand Club and had served as its financial secretary. She was a member of the Jasper Senior Citizens where she served as secretary. Gwen had a great love of quilting, completing over 2,400 quilts with her friends. These 2,400 quilts were given to multiple charities in the area. Although Gwen adored quilting, the thing that she cherished most was the time that she spent with her family and friends.
Gwen is lovingly remembered by her husband, Donald Kneip of Jasper, Minnesota; four children, Steven (Dede) Kneip of Omaha, Nebraska, James (Debbie) Kneip of Luverne, Minnesota, Barbara (Kurt) Facile of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Brenda (Dale) Bostic of Edgerton, Minnesota; 11 grandchildren, Aja (Ryan) Pelster of Omaha, Nebraska, Brittany (Adam) Hoebelheinrich of Omaha, Nebraska, Michaela (Raufeon) Stots of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jenna Kneip of Omaha, Nebraska, Ashley Bostic of Hardwick, Minnesota, Amber (Zac) Bootsma of Edgerton, Minnesota, Alec Bostic of Edgerton, Minnesota, Cameron Facile of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Devinne (Kody) Mertens of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Danielle Kneip of Marshall, Minnesota, and Nicole Kneip, of Luverne, Minnesota; and 5 great-grandchildren, Teagan, Blythe, Bentley, Sterling, and Blaze. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Kay Kneip; and her parents.
