Jane Rita Reinke was born June 9, 1947 to Layton and Audrey (Johnson) Ausen in Marshall, Minnesota. She grew up in Marshall and graduated from Marshall High School in 1965. On March 30, 1968 Jane married Ronald Reinke. Their union was blessed with two daughters—Darla and Jessie—and 48 years of life together. The couple ran a dairy farm and raised their family southeast of Tyler, Minnesota. Jane had worked for Maynard’s Foods for over 20 years. She retired in 2013 and began long arm quilting for people. When they quit dairy farming, they moved to a home on Lake Benton. On December 6, 2016 Jane died unexpectedly at Avera Tyler Hospital at the age of 69.
Jane was always involved with something “crafty.” She loved to sew, care for her flowers, and living on the lake. She especially enjoyed the time spent with family.
Jane is lovingly remembered by her husband, Ronald of Lake Benton; her daughters, Darla (Justin) Erdman of Lake Benton, MN and Jessie Reinke of Deadwood, SD; her mother, Audrey Ausen of Wayzata, MN; her sisters, Mary Vandeputte of Wayzata, MN and Sally (Gary) Copperud of Colorado; her brothers, Jerry Ausen of Marshall, MN, Dale (Michelle) Ausen of Minnesota, Owen (Jane) Ausen of Arlington, TX, and Ray Ausen of Marshall, MN; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Layton Ausen.
