Jill Alaine (Henriksen) Voyles, 47 of Hulett, WY, passed away Friday, July 22, 2011 in Hulett as the result of an accident.
Jill was born June 15, 1964 in Luverne, MN to Clair and Joyce Henriksen. She was baptized at Grace Lutheran Church in Luverne. Jill grew up in Sioux Falls, SD, Jasper, MN and Lake Forest and Round Lake Beach, IL. She attended Jasper High School and Pipestone Technical Institute in Pipestone, MN, where she received a cosmetology degree. In the unity of marriages to Mike Lee, Mike Smith, Jack Johnson and the love of her life Ched Voyles, Jill was blessed with four children of her own and three stepchildren, who all were the center of her world.
Jill found the good in all people and was able to brighten the mood in any room. She was so much fun to be around! Her laugh was infectious and she always knew just what to say to lighten the moment. She was a true friend, a best friend. Jill was an avid Vikings fan. She loved golfing, fishing, hunting, camping and anything to have a good time. She adored her dogs and her grand puppies. Jill worked at Devil’s Tower Forest Products for 15 years and most recently at Crook County Medical Services District.
She is survived by her husband, Ched Lawrence Voyles of Hulett, four children; Daniel Lee, Kristen Lee, Ethan Smith and Mellisa Smith all of Hulett, three step-children; Destiny and Chance Voyles of Belle Fourche, SD and Belinda (Cory) Hawks of Shelby, MT, mother, Joyce Henriksen of Luverne, MN, step-mother, Kay Henriksen of Sioux Falls, two sisters, Jolene (Zach) Borman of Rock Rapids, IA and Jennifer (Dennis) Evans of Jasper, MN, brother, James Henriksen of Rock Rapids, IA, father and mother-in-law, Merlin and Judy Porterfield, brother-in-law, Jared Voyles sister-in-law, Emily Milek all of Belle Fourche, two step-sisters; Shelly (Joey) Grizzel of Deadwood and Kari (Del) Johnson of Sioux Falls and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles who will miss her terribly. Jill was preceded in death by her oldest son, Eric Lee, father, Clair Henriksen, paternal grandparents, Howard and Anne Marie Henriksen and maternal grandparents, Clarence and Henrietta Damman.
