John Edward Martin

John Edward Martin, Jr was born on September 25, 1961 in Utah to John Edward Sr. and Geraldine “Joy” (Roberts) Martin.  He was raised in Cokeville, Wyoming, where he attended school.  While in school, John played baseball, rode horse in the rodeo, was a member of the scouts, and enjoyed singing and dancing.  During his schooling years, John helped take care of the Cokeville City Cemetery and spent his summers working with his brothers, uncles, and cousins.  He graduated from Cokeville High School and began working odd jobs with heavy machinery for numerous family construction companies.

As an adult, John and his mother moved to Minnesota, spending a few years in Balaton before settling in Marshall.  John took a job with a bee-keeper in Balaton and enjoyed the challenge of caring for hundreds of bees as he drove them to and from Texas each year. In 2020, John met Ms. June Pitcher and spent the past few years in bliss.  When John had some free time, he enjoyed playing with his cat, Tina, and playing Uno.

John Edward Martin, Jr. died on Friday, September 22, 2023 in Marshall.  He was 3 days shy of his 62nd birthday.

John is survived by his significant other, June Pitcher, of Marshall; daughter Jennifer Pizzaro of Casper, Wyoming; numerous grandchildren; brothers, Jay (Ping) Martin of Marshall, David Stickne of Utah, and Kent Earl Cassels of Acoma, Utah; aunts and uncles Dixie (Richard) Sanchez, and Brent (Tammy) Roberts; cousins Keith Kennington, Kory Kennington; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.  He was preceded in death by is wife, Peggy; mother, Joy; and his grandmother.
