Judy Tiedeman

Judith Ann Tiedeman was born on May 2, 1941 to John and Irene (Larsen) Bones in Pipestone, Minnesota. She was raised in Lake Wilson where she attended school and graduated from high school. Following her graduation in 1958, she was united in marriage to Verdean Tiedeman. To this union four children were born: Steve, Teresa, Sherri and Scott, and they lived in rural Pipestone. During this time, Judy helped on the farm. She also worked at Fecker’s Produce, the Super 8 Motel, McDonalds and Ellison Meats in Pipestone and as a cashier at the Royal River Casino in Flandreau, South Dakota until her retirement in 2012. On Thursday, June 15, 2017, Judy died unexpectedly at her home in Pipestone at the age of 76 years, one month and 13 days.

Judy loved her flower gardens, especially her knockout roses. In her younger years, she enjoyed her farming, raising many sheep, cattle and hogs. She especially enjoyed her many customers at the casino, and she also loved to try her hand at winning.

She is lovingly remembered by her three children, Steve (Jane) Tiedeman of Woodstock, Minnesota, Teresa (Kent) Bucher of Pipestone, Minnesota, and Sherri (Dave ) Halbur of Iona, Minnesota; four grandchildren, Jamie Rollag of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Josh Rollag of Holland, Minnesota, and Wesley and Macy Halbur of Iona, Minnesota; one great-grandchild, McKeeley Rollag; one sister, Donita (Mel) Place of Blue Earth, Minnesota; four brothers, Robert (Zenaida) Bones of Woodbridge, Virginia, Richard Bones of Granite Falls, Minnesota, Douglass (Nancy) Bones of Pipestone, Minnesota, and Dean Bones of Randall, Minnesota; and many other nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, Scott; her parents; and her son-in-law, Brian Rollag.
