Keith Lambert

August 16, 1938 — May 24, 2014

Keith Earl Lambert was born to Earl and Elizabeth (Saner) Lambert on August 16, 1938 on a farm north of Verdi, Minnesota. When he was six years old, he moved with his family to a farm north of Lake Benton, Minnesota in Diamond Lake Township where he was raised and attended country school in District 16. Upon completion of his education, he helped on the family farm. On October 18, 1961 he entered the U.S. Army and served in Europe with the 509th Quartermaster Company. After his discharge from the service on September 20, 1963 he returned to Lake Benton and continued to farm with his family. During this time he raised corn, hay, and beans. He also raised cattle, pigs, and chickens. In 2003, Keith retired from farming but continued to live on the farm. Keith moved to Homestead Place in Lake Benton in 2011 and resided there until May 21, 2014 when he entered Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Tyler, Minnesota. There he died on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the age of 75.

Keith was a member of St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Lake Benton where he was baptized and confirmed. He was a member of the Lake Benton Sportsmen's Club. He enjoyed watching softball and baseball games, and he attended almost all of the games at the old ball diamonds. He especially enjoyed playing whist, and played in whist tournaments throughout the area.

Keith is lovingly remembered by his cousin, Dale Lambert and his wife Arlene of Pipestone, Minnesota, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Curtis.
