Kevin J. Daniels

KEVIN JAMES DANIELS was born to Rahlden and Marion (Tanum) Daniels on October 7, 1953 in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he was raised and attended school. Upon completion of his education, he worked at several nursing homes in the Twin Cities area. He then became employed for Concleanco Janitorial Company in Minneapolis. On June 12, 1976, he was united in marriage to Bonneta Landgren in Elkton, South Dakota. Following their marriage, they resided in Pipestone, Minnesota, and Kevin worked at the Farmers Coop in Cazenovia, Minnesota. Two years later, he became employed as a truck driver for the Holland Elevator in Holland, Minnesota; and a short time later, he began working as a truck driver for the Elkton Mushroom Plant. In 1981, he became employed at Bayliner Marine in Pipestone where he continued to work for ten years. In 1991, he suffered a stroke and became disabled. Bonnie preceded him in death on January 17, 2003. After her death, Kevin lived in Pipestone until June, 2003, when he became a resident of the Prairie House in Worthington, Minnesota. In 2011, Kevin moved to the South Shore Care Center in Worthington. Kevin died there peacefully on Friday, March 22, 2019 at the age of 65 years, five months, and 15 days.

Kevin was a Nascar race fan. He and his wife enjoyed attending the motorcycle rallies in Sturgis, South Dakota, cheering for the Minnesota Vikings, and raising birds. While living at Prairie House, he enjoyed feeding the local birds. Along with caring for the birds, Kevin took great joy in helping and caring for others. His friends will remember him from his wonderful personality and his bright smile.

He is remembered by his adopted children, Wendy Finch of New York, and Andrew (Mary Minnick-Daniels) Daniels of Minnesota; and six grandchildren, Justin, Christopher, Bryan, Maryse, Taylor, Jakob; and many loving friends. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and one brother, Steven, who died as an infant.
