Lana Jean Lewis

LANA LEWIS...

was born to Edward “Ed” and Ardis (Mahin) Koskovich on April 17, 1956 in Cherokee, Iowa. She lived on a farm with her family until 1961, when they moved to Renton, Washington where she was raised and attended school. In 1975, she graduated from Renton High School. She met Bob Lewis her freshman year and they were united in marriage on July 26, 1975 in Renton, Washington and their journey began. Following their marriage, they lived in Renton. In 1995, they moved to Lake Benton, Minnesota. A few years later, work took them to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. But, their hearts were near family, so one year ago they bought a house in Pipestone, Minnesota to be near her family. Lana was in a head-on collision near Holland, Minnesota on July 29, 2012 and died at the age of 56 years, three months and 12 days.

Lana enjoyed the simple life with her husband, children and grandchildren, and other family and friends and the home she and Bob shared whom she loved more than life itself. God was her rock, everything had a reason, a purpose and a place. She always wanted everyone to be safe and happy, like it was a gift God had given her. She was a ray of sunshine, had a loving, warm and happy smile and a reason for everything. She enjoyed interior designing, decorating and cross stitching (had just won at Pipestone County Fair with entry). She loved gardening in her beautiful yard and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Robert “Bob” Lewis of Pipestone, Minnesota; her son, Jason and his wife Nicole Lewis and their children, Kayleigh, Elly and Samantha of Marshall, Minnesota; her daughter, Tanya and her husband Barry Berkenpas and their children, Becca, Breelee and Barrett of Verdi, Minnesota; her parents, Edward “Ed” and Ardis Koskovich of Pipestone, Minnesota; one sister, LuAnne and her husband Roger Bartholomew of Winchester, Virginia; one brother, Tim Koskovich of Kent, Washington; her mother-in-law, Marion Lewis of Renton, Washington; two brothers-in-law, Tom and his wife Teresa Lewis of Lacey, Washington and David Lewis of Auburn, Washington; and her special nieces and nephews, Mehgan, Heather, Amanda and Brady. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Quentin Lewis.
