Laura Ann Swenson

LAURA ANN SWENSON was born to James and Verla (Bunkers) Swenson on March 27, 1969 in Pipestone, Minnesota. She was raised in Jasper, Minnesota where she attended school and graduated from Jasper High School in 1987. She continued her education in Mankato, Minnesota for three years. Upon completion of her education, she began working for her father in the Swenson Vet Clinic. In September, 2007, she became employed at the Jasper Sunrise Village. On May 1, 2017, she was diagnosed as having cancer. She entered Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Friday, June 30, 2017 and died there on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the age of 48 years, three months and five days.

Laura was an avid reader, and she liked taking in a good movie. She enjoyed her pet cats. Of course, she enjoyed shopping, and loved buying special gifts for her nieces and nephews. Through the years, she was an excellent caregiver and helped care for her mother. She and her mom loved to go on long drives together.

She is lovingly remembered by her three siblings, James Swenson of Jasper, Minnesota, Steve Swenson and his wife Kristine of Jasper, Minnesota, and Dawn Alexander and her special friend, Hong Jun of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.
