He then moved to Rock County to work for John and Imogene Krogmann until 1970 when he started working for Arends Farms, Inc. While working at Arends Farms he met Linda Bryan and they formed a lifetime love bond. The couple was united in marriage on June 22, 1974. Leo felt life wasn’t complete without children and God eventually blessing of two adopted sons was a feeling beyond words. His boys eventually grew into loving and caring people with their Dad showing them by example. Leo loved farming, but was forced to leave when he sustained back and shoulder injuries in a farming accident. After recovering from his injuries, he accepted a position as a custodian for Luverne Public Schools until his retirement.
