LEON GLEN JENSEN was born on November 8, 1932 to Andrew and Christine (Kjergaard) Jensen in Marshfield Township near Tyler, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed at Danebod Lutheran Church in Tyler. He grew up on the family farm, and graduated from Tyler High School in 1950. On November 16, 1957 Leon married Mavis Johnson in Hope Lutheran Church, Minneota, Minnesota. Their union was blessed with three children and 55 years of life together. The couple started farming near Tyler in 1959, where they lived and worked until they retired from the farm in 1996 and moved to Danebod Village in Tyler. Leon was night watchman for Danebod Village for nine years. In 2008, Leon became a resident of Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Tyler. For a short time, Leon and Mavis shared a room at Sunrise Manor, until she passed away in 2012. On April 18, 2014, Leon passed away at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home at the age of 81 years, 5 months, and 10 days.
