LILLIAN DAHLMEIER was born to Hiester and Leah (Morin) Noll on July 20, 1919 in Slayton, Minnesota where she was raised and attended school. She graduated from Slayton High School and she was united in marriage to Francis Dahlmeier on October 17, 1938. Following their marriage, they lived in Pipestone, Minnesota where she was employed at Montgomery Ward. In 1942, they purchased the Dahlmeier Insurance Agency from her father-in-law. She and her husband also served as the Western Union agents for Pipestone. She continued to work there until their retirement in 1983 when they sold the insurance business to a local firm. She was preceded in death by her husband on August 15, 1992. After his death, she continued to live in Pipestone until September, 2007, when she moved to Emeritus at Lake Ridge in Woodbridge, Virginia to be near her daughter and her family. She died there on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the age of 93 years and four days.
She was a member of Saint Leo Catholic Church in Pipestone where she was active in the Ladies Circle. She enjoyed visiting with her family and friends, dancing, playing cards and traveling.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Nancy Koch, and her son-in-law Timothy of Fairfax Station, Virginia; by three grandchildren, Kristina Koch, Bradley Dahlmeier and Christopher Dahlmeier; and by two great-grandchildren, Carson and Kaitlin Dahlmeier. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis; by her son, James; by her brother, Lawrence Noll; and by her two sisters, Mary Buckles and Florence Gageby.
