Linda Finke

LINDA DIANN FINKE was born to Alvin and Anna (Thone) Finke on June 20, 1949 at the Luverne Community Hospital in Luverne, Minnesota. She grew up on the family farm near Steen, Minnesota. Linda graduated from Hills-Beaver Creek High School in 1967. She then attended the University of Minnesota-Morris graduating in 1971. Following her graduation from college she worked for Pitney Bowes in Minneapolis, then Midwest Coast Transport in Sioux Falls. Most of Linda's career was spent as a Secretary for the South Dakota Air National Guard in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

On Saturday, October 22, 2016, Linda passed away peacefully at the Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 67 years, 4 months, and two days.

Linda enjoyed shopping for collectibles, dining out with family and friends, and traveling. She decorated cakes for her nieces and nephews celebrations. After working her day job, you could usually find her behind the counter at the American Legion and the Club at the South Dakota Air National Guard.

Linda is survived by her sister, Mary (Dan) Siegfried, Valley Springs, SD; brother, Jon (Sheri) Finke, Luverne, MN; brother-in-law, Dennis Erickson, Hills, MN; nine nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Alvin Finke and Billy Finke; a sister, Ann Jaloyce Erickson.
