Linda Alexander-Holmgren

Linda Alexander-Holmgren was adopted at birth, to William and Marjorie Guthier. Linda and her sister, Jean, grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Linda married Raymond Seliski on November 19, 1966. Together, they had two children, Jennifer and Gregory. Linda, Ray and their children lived in New Hope, Minnesota until January of 1973. On March 2, 1974, Linda married John Alexander Sr. (Phil). Together, they had two children, John Jr. and William (Bill). In addition to raising two boys, they ran their own cleaning business. Linda also worked as a CNA/TMA at nursing homes and also did home health and hospice care. Linda and John Sr. were married for 25 years, until John Senior's passing, in July of 1999. On June 1, 2002, Linda married Dale Holmgren. They spent 11 years together, enjoying retirement and traveling. In 2005, they moved to Arkansas, where they lived on their hobby farm for 8 years, until Dale's passing in December of 2013. In the summer of 2014, Linda moved to Tyler, Minnesota, to be closer to her family.

Linda will be remembered for her love of animals and flowers. Throughout her life she always had cats and dogs. In retirement Linda had pheasants, chickens, horses, and cows. Linda's love for flowers was displayed wherever she lived, even in her final days at Sunrise Manor, her window was always lined with beautiful flowers. Linda died Friday, February 14, 2025 at the Avera Sunrise Manor in Tyler, Minnesota.

Linda is survived by her children, Jennifer (Charlie) Talbott from Atlanta, Georgia, John (Melissa) Alexander Jr. from Russell, Minnesota, William "Bill" Alexander from Tyler, Minnesota; siblings, Jean Shewan, Darcy (Fred) Anderson from Mt. Iron, Minnesota, Nancy (Jere) Volkart from Watertown, South Dakota, Merry Lemke from Watertown, South Dakota; eight grandchildren, Tatum Alexander, Ari Poppenhagen, Cameron, Connor, Lauren, Nolan Seliski, Brenna Alexander, Emily (Austin) Alexander; and two great-grandchildren, Mila, and Greyson Seliski.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Margorie and William Guthier; parents, Larry and Hazel Kusler; sister, Jean; brother-in-law, Les Lemke; son, Gregory Seliski; husband, John "Phil" Alexander Sr.; husband, Dale Holmgren; and brother-in-law, Jim.
