PLEASE NOTE: The Celebration for Family and Friends will take place on Saturday, July 18th from 1-4pm at the Ben Franklin Masonic Lodge in Luverne.
LINDA JORDAN was born on April 29, 1952 in Luverne, Minnesota to Fred and Olive (Fremstad) Greve. She was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church in Luverne. As a child, Linda was an animal lover and had many pets. Her and her brother Curt were notorious for bringing home strays. They would also collect cardboard and build houses out of them. Linda graduated from Luverne High School in 1970. She lived her entire life in Luverne, living in several different residences, until 1998 when she bought her house on McKenzie Street. She worked at QSP from the late 1970’s through the mid 1990’s as a product assembler. She then worked at Luverne Truck in Brandon South Dakota as a mirror assembly line leader until her retirement in April 2014. After retiring, she went to work for McDonald’s as a food prep employee up until two months of her passing. On March 10, 2020, at the age of 67 years, 10 months, and 11 days, Linda died at the Select Specialty Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Linda belonged to a group called “The Honyoker’s”. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids in their different activities, going for car rides, and having them and their friends stop by her house. She enjoyed going for walks with family and her dog Buddy, daily calls with her good friend Laurie Hunter, her sister Marlene, and visiting her brother and sister-in-law Curt and Georgia. Many people will remember her as “Beasley”. Linda had a wonderful sense of humor and she always made everyone smile, even on a bad day. Her grandkids and Curt will miss her contacting them for help with her house projects needing to be done. She had a gift of trying to keep up with the latest dance moves that she learned from Cole and Elliot.
Linda will be remembered by her daughter, Lisa (Bryce) Stoltenberg of Luverne; two grandchildren, Cole and Elliot Stoltenberg; siblings, Curtis “Fred” (Georgia) Greve of Luverne, Marlene Nytes of New Prague, Minnesota, and Wesley (Nancy) Greve of Hutchinson, Minnesota; and several nieces, nephew, grand nieces, grand nephews, close friends, and her dog, Buddy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Olive Greve; sister, Sharon Greve; brother-in-law, Charles Nytes; and nephew, Chris Greve.
