Lucille Anne Trautman was born November 16, 1928 in Verdi, Minnesota to Emil and Lila (Wartner) Trautman. She was baptized on January 3, 1929 at the St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Lake Benton, Minnesota. Lucille lived with her parents for some time. She then moved to Faribault, St. Peter, Pipestone, and Redwood. In 1990, Lucille moved to Marshall where she worked with Lyon County Developmental Achievement Center until she retired in 2000. In 2010 she moved to Canby, Minnesota. On December 27, 2012 she was transferred to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. On January 1, 2013 Lucille died at the age of 84 years, 1 month, and 16 days.
Lucille enjoyed company, watching television, and lounging in her slippers. She enjoyed her “pretty things” such as porcelain dolls, jewelry, and purses. She liked candy and loved her blankets. She will be remembered for her quiet nature and contagious laughter.
Lucille is lovingly remembered by her cousins, friends, and caretakers. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Harold Trautman.
