LYLE EDWIN WITTROCK was born on February 26, 1941 to Marvin and Lucille (Otkin) Wittrock in Lincoln County, Minnesota. He attended school in Pipestone. On February 25, 1960, he was united in marriage to Joan Sandberg at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pipestone. He then worked for ABC, and farmed until the 80s. At that time he began working for Bayliner in Pipestone. In the early 2000s he moved to Holland, Minnesota and resided there. On Wednesday, November 8, 2017, he passed away at the Pipestone County Medical Center in Pipestone at the age of 76 years, 8 months, and 13 days.
Lyle was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Holland. He enjoyed gardening and canning at home. He also liked to be a part of horse shows through the years and loved being a dairy farmer.
He is lovingly remembered by his three children, Doraine (Melvin) Kiecksee of Flandreau, South Dakota, Dean Wittrock of Wentworth, South Dakota, and Delwin (Dawn) Wittrock of Pipestone; two granddaughters, Jessica and Jordan Wittrock; three sisters, Marlene (Larry) Smallfield of Pipestone, Darlene Kennison of Flandreau, and Deb (Dan) Quick of Flandreau; and one brother, Harvey (Rose) Wittrock of Colman, South Dakota. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son-in-law, Jerry Whipple.
