MARSHA RENEE JANDL was born October 5, 1959, to Ardell and Mary “Jeanne” (Flanagan) Facile in Pipestone. During high school she was involved in basketball, track, softball, cheerleading, and volleyball. Marsha graduated from Jasper High School in 1978. Following graduation, Marsha was united in marriage to Kurt Jandl on June 16, 1978, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. She lived in Jasper throughout her whole life. Marsha worked at Gannons Restaurant in Pipestone, Bayliner in Pipestone, was a caregiver for her Grandma Flanagan, a cook at Royal River Casino, and a caregiver at Tuff Memorial Home in Hills, Minnesota. Marsha passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at her home in Jasper surrounded by her family at the age of 61 years, 10 months, and two days.
Marsha was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper and was involved in the Altar Society. She enjoyed attending all of her daughters' and grandchildren’s school activities. Marsha also enjoyed caring for her garden and canning her home grown vegetables. She loved playing with and spoiling her puppies.
Marsha will always be remembered for her smile. She was the life of her family which she always put first. Her favorite sayings were “suck it up buttercup” and “there’s no crying in sports.” Marsha was loved by all, including both her coworkers and residents at Tuff Memorial Home. Marsha will be deeply missed.
Marsha is survived by her husband of 43 years, Kurt Jandl of Jasper; her children, Carrie Jandl of Jasper, Beth (Ryan) Riley of Jasper, and Maggie (J.J.) Erickson of Jasper; her mother, Jeanne Facile of Brandon; siblings, Ann Facile of Del Rapids, South Dakota, Tom (Linda) Facile of Hahira, Georgia, Frank (Monica) Facile of Pipestone, John (Val McKnight) Facile of Brandon, Randy (Rhonda) Facile of Manning, Iowa, and Nancy (Michael) Hall of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; grandchildren, Dakota Erickson, Hailey Erickson, Brady Jandl, Dallas Erickson, and Mara Riley; and many other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Jessica Jandl; sister, Amy Easterday; father, Ardell Facile; father-in-law, Martin Jandl Jr.; grandparents Clarence and Jean Flanagan, and Frank and Sylvia Facile; and her beloved puppies, Sunny Girl and Daisy.
