Nancy M. Navara

Nancy Marie Navara was born the only child to John and Mary Anne (Wiggins) Navara on January 23, 1956 in Luverne, Minnesota, where she was raised. She graduated from Luverne High School with the Class of 1974. In her adult years, Nancy transitioned to independent apartment-style living at the Atrium Hi-Rise in Worthington, Minnesota. There she began working for the Nobles County DAC. She enjoyed her work and never complained. Nancy was always happy and made many friends both where she lived and worked. In May 2019, Nancy became a resident at the South Shore Care Center in Worthington. There she quickly made new friends which she considered – along with the staff – to be an extension of her family. Nancy enjoyed participating in group outings and activities, and arts and crafts. She also enjoyed collecting dolls and stuffed animals throughout her life, as well as listening to music and watching movies.

On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, Nancy passed away peacefully in her room at the age of 68 years, seven months and 18 days.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her extended family and the residents and staff at South Shore Care Center.

The family would like to thank the staff at Sanford Worthington Hospital and South Shore Care Center for the tremendous compassion and care provided to Nancy on her end-of-life journey.
