Randy Satter

Randy Lee Satter was born on March 10, 1976 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Kenneth and Darlene (Nielsen) Satter. He was baptized into the Christian Faith at Valley Lutheran Church in Valley Springs, South Dakota. Randy was raised in Valley Springs and Brandon, South Dakota where he received his education, graduating with the Brandon High School class of 1994. On October 8, 1999, Randy was united in marriage to Christy Laite in Sioux Falls. Following their marriage, they made their home in Hendricks, Minnesota, Rochester, Minnesota, Sioux Falls, and most recently returning back to Hendricks earlier this year. Randy worked as a mechanic in various jobs, including: Bargin Barn, Stone Containment, McNeileus, Midwest Railcar, Tire Motive, Everything Granite, Spartan, S & N Erectors, Christensen Farms and lastly, CCM Welding Repair and Manufacturing. Randy died on Thursday, November 5, 2015 as a result of an accident at work in Volga, South Dakota at the age of 39 years, seven months and 26 days.

Randy enjoyed hunting, motorcycles, working on cars and building things. He was always willing to help anyone wherever and with whatever was needed. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and especially his family.

Randy is lovingly remembered by his wife, Christy Satter of Hendricks; children, Jocelyn Laite of Sioux Falls, and Jordyn Satter and Dawson Satter both of Hendricks; one grandson, Jericho Thomas Lowe and one more on the way in January; parents, Ken and Darlene Satter of Brandon; brothers, David (Deb) Jacksonville, North Carolina and Shane Satter of Sioux Falls; father and mother-in-law, Mark and Deb Hewett. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, LaRoy and Martha Satter, Everett and Martha Nielsen and Alta Denstedt; aunts, Jan Panzer and Lila Baustian; and uncle, Norbert Baustian.
