Raymond John Feller was born October 18, 1954 to John and Rose (Matteson) Feller in Pierre, South Dakota. He grew up in Gettysburg, South Dakota where he was baptized and received his confirmation. Raymond graduated from Gettysburg High School in 1974. After graduation, he relocated to Worthington, Minnesota and worked at Campbell’s Soup Company and for Domino’s Pizza. He then lived in Brewster, Minnesota for a short time before moving to Sioux Falls, South Dakota where he was employed as a custodian until his retirement in 2022. Raymond finally settled in Luverne, Minnesota, where on June 16, 2024, he died peacefully at the Good Samaritan Society – Mary Jane Brown nursing home at the age of 69 years, 7 months, and 29 days.
Raymond attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Worthington. He served his community by volunteering at The Banquet in Sioux Falls. In his spare time, he enjoyed drawing, artwork, woodworking and writing poems. Raymond will be remembered for his mimicry of others while poking fun. He was very loving and caring, doing whatever he could to help others.
Raymond is survived by his son, John Feller of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one grandchild, Moon Feller; two sisters, Mary Fanger of Blunt, South Dakota, and Nancy Nelson of Luverne; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rose Feller; and sisters, Carolina Johnson, Patricia Burch, Marcia Hovaldt, Imelda (Toots) Baumgartner, and Violet Adams.
