ROBYN DENISE HEMME was born on March 29, 1963, to Melvin and Eva Lu (Mann) Hemme in Luverne, Minnesota, the youngest of seven children in the family. She was raised in Luverne and attended school, graduating from Luverne High School as a part of the Class of 1981. She then furthered her education and attended Stewarts School in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, for cosmetology and hair. On September 10, 1983, Robyn was united in marriage to Scott Endriss at St. John Lutheran Church in Luverne. The couple made their home in Sioux Falls and was blessed with two beautiful daughters, McKenzie and Morgan. Robyn was a devoted and hard working mother. In addition to caring for her girls, Robyn accepted an entry level position with CitiBank. Over a twenty-year career with the company, she worked her way through the ranks and achieved the position of Customer Services Manager.
Robyn then made the decision to pursue her own venture, Metro Expressions – a fashion boutique business. This definitely fit Robyn as she was always well kept, with much detail given to her hair, nails and clothes. She loved her work and enjoyed tradeshows. Sometimes for these events she would be accompanied by her mother, who would work as her assistant. Robyn eventually transitioned from her business venture and went to work as a caregiver to her mother. During this time she was blessed to also be a caregiver to her two granddaughters. She loved the memories she made with them going on walks, playing at parks and having fun on the beach.
Robyn enjoyed driving and riding motorcycle. She and David Knapp had many trips on their matching Harley-Davidson motorcycles. She especially loved riding it when attending the annual Harley-Davidson motorcycle rally in Sturgis, South Dakota. She also enjoyed attending concerts and listening to music. Some of her favorites included Fleetwood Mac, Creedence Clearwater Rivival and Bon Jovi.
For many that knew Robyn, she had a very funny sense of humor and possesed an infectious spirit and laugh (maybe cackle!). Once you met her, it’d be hard to forget her. She had no problem stating her opinion on any number of topics and by the way, she didn’t need a man to support her! Robyn always found a way to make those around her feel good and those memories and feelings will be treasured in the hearts of many.
On Sunday, June 14, 2020, Robyn passed away peacefully at her home in Luverne at the age of 57 years, two months and 15 days.
Her spirit will be well in the hearts of her two daughters, McKenzie Endriss (boyfriend, Justin Kaufman) of Sioux Falls, and Morgan (Raul) Patino and their children Azalea and Everleigh of Willmar, Minnesota; five siblings, Dennis Hemme of St. Cloud, Minnesota, Joan (Randy) Boomgaarden of Zumbrota, Minnesota, Pamela Bindert of Greenfield, Minnesota, Alan (Amy) Hemme of Bena, Minnesota and Gloria (Mark) Aanenson of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; sister-in-law, Colleen Hemme of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota; her beloved English Bulldog, Ruby; and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Eva Lu Hemme; and brother, David Hemme.
