SARAH D BOEVE was born on February 9, 1941 to David and Suzanna Waldner in Bon Homme county, South Dakota. Sarah grew up in Platte, South Dakota and moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota following her education. She met Ervin Boeve and the couple was married on March 26, 1965 at the Free Methodist Church in Sioux Falls. Their union was blessed with five children and 44 years of marriage. The young couple moved to Hull, Iowa and farmed on the Boeve family farm for 11 years. In 1978, the family moved to Tyler, Minnesota. Sarah raised their children, while Ervin began working as a truck driver. Once the children were older, she worked various jobs, including a school cook for the Tyler area school and finally at Heartland Foods, where she truly enjoyed her job and co-workers. Sarah retired from Heartland Foods and supported her husband’s small hog farm. Ervin passed away on October 25, 2009. Sarah continued to live on the farm, taking care of the home and spending her time visiting the elderly in nursing homes and their residences. Due to her declining health, Sarah moved off the farm and eventually to the Sunrise Manor in Tyler. Sarah went to her heavenly home on Friday, October 4, 2019 at the age of 78 years, seven months, and 25 days.
Sarah was a devoted member of the Tyler Alliance Church in Tyler and had a strong faith and trust in God. She was an individual that was independent and self-sufficient, always willing to make sacrifices to care for others.
