Sebastian Perez

Sebastian Perez, age 73, was born in Mexico in 1951. He lost his father Gabino at the age of 3, he lost his mother Maria at the age of 16. He married his wife Eliva at 23 years old. He was married for 52 years. He had 7 kids, one who passed away in 2020. He had 29 grandchildren age range 32 years to 4 years old. He came to the United States looking for better life in 1991, he then later went back to bring his wife and kids back with him to stay. He was injured at work in 2005 and then later retired due the injury. He started dialysis in 2012 due his kidney failure. He went to dialysis for 13 years. He lived in Cicero, Illinois from 1991 to 2001. During that time we worked at Metal Tender. He then moved to Pipestone, Minnesota in 2001. He lived for a short time in the pipestone mobile home until he bought his home in Pipestone. He worked for Pipestone System from 2002 to 2005. He retired at 55 years old due to a work injury. He loved to fish, garden, listen to music, and drive around town. He loved to eat hot peppers with his granddaughter Azulceleste. He was kind, brave, a caregiver, warrior, and fighter. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and attended church at St. Leo Catholic Church in Pipestone, Minnesota. Sebastian died Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls South Dakota surrounded by his loving family.

Sebastian is lovingly remembered by his wife Elvia Daiz de Perez of Pipestone, Minnesota; six children, Gabino (Raquel Guerrero) Perez of Pipestone, Minnesota, Maria DoraLuz (Gerardo Barrios) Perez of Pipestone, Minnesota, Maria Guadalupe Perez (Valentin Barrios) De Barrios of Pipestone, Minnesota, Gabriel (Rose Marie) Perez of Chicago, Illinois, Juan Carlos (Johanna Garcia) Perez of Jasper, Minnesota, and Sebastian Jr. Perez of Pipestone, Minnesota; Siblings, Gabriel (Angelica) Flores of Elgin, Illinois, Silvio (Guillermina) Villegas of Cicero, Illinois, Juan (Raquel) Perez of Mexico, Gabino Perez of Chicago, Illinois, and Patty Perez of Mexico; 29 grandchildren, Johnny, Jose, Sulema, Jovanni, Sixta, Thomas, Dylan, Jonathan, Raul, Valentin, Jesus, Alondra, Gonzalo, Sebastian III, Carloseriel, Joannacrystal, Maria Lupe, Juan Carlos Jr, Sophia, William, Gabriel, Azulceleste, Alexander, Fabian, Sebastian, Benally, Kimberly, Evelyn, Lisairy; six great-grandchildren, Ayanna, Adrian, Ximena Perez, Concepcion Perez, and two unborn who are on the way. Sebastian is preceded in death by his father Gabino Perez; Mother, Maria Isac; Son, Luis Hunberto Perez; brothers, Angel Perez, Aurelio Perez, and Eriberto Perez.
