Steven John Meyer

STEVEN JOHN MEYER was born on October 10, 1969 to John and Edith (Demars) Meyer in Luverne, Minnesota. He was baptized on November 2, 1969 and confirmed on April 15, 1984, both at St. John Lutheran Church in Trosky, Minnesota. He attended both grade school and high school in Pipestone, Minnesota. Following his education he worked for Iowa Beef Processors in Luverne, Fey Industries in Edgerton, Minnesota, Huisken Meats in Chandler, Minnesota, and most recently, VanDyke Sanitation in Edgerton. On Sunday, August 23, 2015, Steven passed away at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 45 years, 10 months, and 13 days.

Steve was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved living in the Edgerton area and took pride in being there for his entire life. He had three dogs that he enjoyed spending time with. Moments shared with his family and friends by the lake were his most treasured.

Steve is lovingly remembered by his mother, Edith (Harold) Appeldorn of Pipestone; three brothers, Kevin (Monica) Brockberg of Fargo, North Dakota, Jim Brockberg of Austin, Minnesota, and Rick Brockberg of Minneapolis, Minnesota; two nephews, Jake and Rojelio Brockberg; and one niece, Jordan Brockberg. He was preceded in death by his father, John Carl Meyer.
