Terry Lee Harmsen

Terry Lee Harmsen…

was born on April 3, 1963 to Russell and Evelyn (Voss) Harmsen in Pipestone, Minnesota where he was baptized at First Presbyterian Church. He was raised in Ihlen, Minnesota, and attended school in Pipestone. After his graduation from Pipestone High School in 1982, he became employed at Bayliner Marine for 17 years. He lived his whole life in Ihlen. On Sunday, May 21, 2017, Terry died unexpectedly at his home at the age of 54 years, one month and 18 days.

Terry enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, shooting pool, and gardening. He also enjoyed camping at Lake Pickerel and playing the guitar. He especially liked the times spent with his family.

He is lovingly remembered by his two children, Jami Poulson of Sherburn, Minnesota and Tayler Harmsen of Woodstock, Minnesota; two grandchildren, Aliyah Olson and Ashton Olson; his parents, Russ and Evelyn Harmsen of St. Cloud, Minnesota; and seven siblings, Beverly York of Columbia Falls, Montana, Joyce (Carl) Pierret of Blaine, Minnesota, Gene (Dolly) Krell of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, Vicki (Brad) Quist of Pipestone, Minnesota Deanna Scott of Luverne, Minnesota, Mike (Karen) Harmsen of St. Cloud, Minnesota, and Kim (Tom) Frazier of East Bethel, Minnesota; many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother, Randy Krell; his grandparents, Lola and Mike Harmsen; and his grandparents, Joe and Jose Voss.
