Todd M. Simon

TODD MICHAEL SIMON was born in Madison, South Dakota on September 12, 1963. He was the first of seven children born to Michael and Doris Simon. He lived in Luverne, Minnesota and worked at Rock County Opportunities. Todd enjoyed participating in Special Olympics and was a multiple medal winner in bowling. He loved to sit outside on the swing, go for walks, take vacations, listen to country music and most importantly spend time with his family. Todd enjoyed all family functions; however, leaving the party was also special to him in that no family member could leave the party without at least one hug. Todd had an infectious smile that would light up a room and make all take pause to remember the simplicity of life. He taught us compassion and shaped the minds and hearts of all whom he encountered.

On Saturday, September 7, 2013 Todd died peacefully at his home in Luverne at the age of 49 years.

Todd is lovingly remembered by his parents, Michael and Doris Simon of Estelline; sister, Michelle (Doug) Tvedt of Brookings, South Dakota; brother, Mark (Elizabeth) Simon of Fairfax, Virginia; brother, Doug (Molly) Simon of Marshall, Minnesota; sister, Deanna (David) Stelter of Wood Lake, Minnesota; sister, Jennifer (Blaine) Radtke of Luverne; brother, Eric Simon of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota; and 13 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Giese Funeral Home in Estelline, South Dakota is assisting the family with arrangements.
