Wayne Enderson

Wayne Vernard Enderson was born on July 5, 1938 to Oscar and Jennie (Krull) Enderson in Buffalo Center, Iowa. He peacefully returned to the Lord on March 8, at their home in Arizona, surrounded by family. He was the youngest boy in a family with six children. Wayne was raised in Buffalo Center until his father died when he was 10 years old. The family then moved to Lake Mills, Iowa. Wayne was baptized and received his confirmation in 1949 at the Methodist Church in Lake Mills, Iowa.  He graduated from Lake Mills High School in 1955.  Wayne farmed and raised dairy cattle. On June 2, 1963, Wayne was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Sauer in Walters, Minnesota. They made their home near Lake Mills until 1968 and then rented a dairy farm near Alden, Minnesota. In 1974, they purchased a dairy farm east of Tyler, Minnesota. Wayne was a dairy and crop farmer until early 1993 and then continued crop farming until 2006 when they sold the equipment and farm site shortly thereafter. In 2007, they moved into Tyler. During their 59 years of marriage, they were blessed with four children: Todd, Taryl, Paul, and Carol Ann.

Wayne was a faithful servant of God and a devoted member of First English Lutheran Church in Tyler, Minnesota. He was active in the church serving on the church council, building committee, and as an usher. He volunteered for Meals On Wheels and Food for Kidz through Thrivent Help.  After retirement, Wayne and Barb enjoyed traveling and spending their winters in Arizona. In his spare time, he enjoyed fixing lawn mowers, bicycles and old tractors. They also delivered Winnebago motor homes for nearly 10 years with his brother-in-law Ralph Sauer. He enjoyed spending time with family, attending church and fellowship, and having coffee with friends at Shadetree Auto.

Wayne is lovingly remembered by his wife: Barbara of Tyler; children: Todd (Kelly) Enderson of Dayton, Ohio; Taryl (Teresa) Enderson of Salt Lake City, Utah; Paul Enderson of Marshall, Minnesota; Carol (Darin) Heinis of Los Angeles, California; siblings: Ernest (Romelle) Enderson of Northwood, Iowa; Rosella Ullstad of Lake Mills, Iowa; and Ida Rhine of Mason City, Iowa; and seven grandchildren: Madison and Gavin (Elizabeth); Sydney, Seth, and Spencer; and Makenzie and Olivia. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents: Oscar and Jennie; brother: Elvin; sister: Harriet; and two infant siblings, along with many cherished brother/sisters-in-laws and loved friends.
