WILLIAM ANDRE SCHNOOR was born to Melvin and Vera (Andersen) Schnoor on November 26, 1948 in Nampa, Idaho. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith while living in Nampa. He and his family moved to Norfolk, Nebraska where he was raised and received his education. He was confirmed in April of 1952 at Christ Lutheran Church in Norfolk. He graduated from Norfolk Senior High School. Following his education, Bill became employed at Gillette Dairy where he worked in production. William served in the US Navy from January 23, 1969 until his honorable discharge on January 19, 1973. He returned home to Norfolk and continued his work at Gilette Dairy for a number of years. He then worked in trailer production at Timpte Truck factory in Wayne, Nebraska, but continued to live in Norfolk. In 2002, Bill moved to Luverne, Minnesota where he was employed at McDonald’s along with cleaning part-time at Sharkee’s Bar and Restaurant. On Saturday, June 4, 2011, Bill passed away at his apartment at the age of 62 years, six months and eight days.
Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout his life. Most of all, he enjoyed his time with his family and friends.
Bill is survived by his three siblings, Kathryn Cook and her husband Don of Lincoln, Nebraska, Patricia Brunken and her husband Wylee of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Jon Schnoor and his wife Patricia of Miami, Florida; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Vera.
